October 2004 Four Peaks Brewsletter
Greetings!
Hooray!! The Brewsletter is back from a little hiatus. We apologize for the rather large delay in newsletters and we have no excuse for this gap other than we were busy taste-testing the beer... We will make every attempt to send out a monthly newsletter in the future so that we can inform you on the current happenings at both the Four Peaks Brewing locales.

Please feel free to submit comments, questions, remarks and whatever else is on your mind to our email address listed at the bottome of the page. We would love to have you submit a Four Peaks story of which we are sure there are some good ones out there.

Pumpkin Porter Returns!

Here in central Arizona it can be difficult to notice the changing of the seasons. The leaves on the trees don't change color and the weather just barely begins to get cooler. Luckily there is one tell-tale sign that we have endured another long Phoenix summer and winter is finally on its way...the arrival of our Pumpkin Porter! On October 15th we proudly welcomed back our most requested seasonal brew, Pumpkin Porter. Once you try this roasty Porter flavored with Pumpkin and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg you'll understand why so many loyal Four Peaks customers eagerly anticipate its arrival all year. Also, we just received the 2004 Commemorative Pumpkin Porter T-shirts available for sale at our two locations.

The Pumkin Porter is now available at both the Tempe & North Scottsdale Four Peaks locations. We only brew limited amounts of the Porter and we try to keep it on hand as long as possible so unfortunately we are unable to offer Growlers to-go until closer to Thankgiving. If you can't make it to Four Peaks to enjoy a Porter, this year it is even available at some of our favorite Arizona bars and restaurants. So if you happen to be missing the classic signs of autumn stop by one of our two locations or one of the locations listed below and enjoy a delicious Pumpkin Porter! Tucson: Frog & Firkin and Old Chicago. Flagstaff: Uptown Billiards. Prescott: Desperado's and Zuma's. Scottsdale: Papago Brewing Company, Nello's Pizza and Oregano's. Mesa: Red, White and Brew, Nello's Pizza, The Vine Tavern and Uncle Bears. Phoenix: Nello's Pizza, Postino Wine Bar and O'Briens Pub. Tempe: Nello's Pizza and Owls Nest. Gilbert: Uncle Bears and Teakwoods. Chandler: Teakwoods.

Ready, Set, Carve!

Sharpen your carving knives and take a trip to the pumpkin patch. That's right it's time once again for The 6th Annual Four Peaks Pumpkin Carving Contest! This year's highly anticipated competition will take place Wednesday October 27th at 7p.m. sharp, at Four Peaks Tempe. Newspaper and candles will be provided to those who enter, but you will need your own pumpkin as well as any tools deemed necessary for your masterpiece. Stencils are not allowed, and creativity is highly recommended. The judging of the pumpkins will begin promptly at 9:15, and all decisions are final. Regretfully, no bribes will be accepted. Prizes for the winning gourds include T- shirts, growlers, and for the grand prize winner, a keg of your choice (excluding pumpkin porter). All of the prize winning pumpkins will then be displayed through Halloween (or start of rot, whichever comes sooner) at the Brewery for all to enjoy. So start your brainstorming and come on down and carve a pumpkin, while enjoying a great beer and some good Four Peaks family fun.
